Mount Pleasant Primary School Building Fund

What will the funds be used for?

The funds raised will be initially used for the maintenance and upgrading of our existing buildings.  However, depending on the size of donations received and long term plans for the school, larger projects requiring construction of further school buildings will be considered. Some of the funds may be used for the planned upgrade of the school gardens and playgrounds, where the plans relate to new or the upgrade of existing buildings.

Tax deductible donations

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.  The excellent news for this is that you will receive a tax refund for the amount of your donation at your marginal tax rate.  Even better is that this means that you are directing the Australian Government where you would like some of your taxes spent – on your children’s education!!!  If you are paying tax at the top tax rate, the government pays almost half of the amount which you commit to the School Building Fund.

Cash donations (including EFT or cheque) are preferred but the Fund is able to accept some donations of property.
